Rockbank Station is an easy walk from Woodlea's future Local Town Centre. With trains travelling en route to Southern Cross Station, it's an effortless trip to the heart of the CBD.
The State Government is investing half a billion dollars to upgrade the Ballarat train line, with the upgrade currently underway and scheduled for completion late 2019.
The upgraded Rockbank station will have more than 350 car parks, better access for buses and pedestrians, improved security and lighting and landscaping.
Works will include demolition of the existing station, rebuilding two new platforms, construction of an accessible pedestrian overpass, a new sealed carpark, bus and taxi bays, secure bike storage areas and drop-off zones as well as setting aside areas for future station development.
Woodlea is also close to the Western Freeway and Melton Highway and your new community will also link to the trail system that connects cyclists and hikers with the district beyond. Local established shopping and community centres such as Caroline Springs and Watergardens are all within a 10 to 15 minute drive from Woodlea and Melbourne Airport is an easy 25-minute drive away.
Woodlea has been specifically designed to connect you with everything required for modern, fulfilling living. With work and education facilities on its doorstep and easy access to bus and train routes, the opportunities to shop, work and study close to home increase. Woodlea will also link to the trail system that connects cyclists and hikers with the district beyond.
