Woodlea now home to the largest grammar school in Melbourne’s west

We’re thrilled to announce that we have officially welcomed the first school to the Woodlea estate, with Bacchus Marsh Grammar opening its doors to 650 students on Monday February 4, 2019.

Bacchus Marsh Grammar is one of the largest independent schools in the state with the Woodlea campus taking the crown as the largest new independent primary school in the state’s west.

Of the 650 students who commenced this year, 10 per cent of those are said to be Woodlea residents, with this number only expected to grow as the suburb continues to flourish.

The Bacchus Marsh Grammar Woodlea campus will offer Early Learning, Junior (prep to year 4) and middle school (year 5 and 6) with the campus eventually operating through to year 8 as the student population grows.

In addition to the new Bacchus Marsh Grammar primary campus, Woodlea will also provide an additional two P-6 public primary schools and a public secondary school in the future, as we understand how important it is to have choice when it comes to choosing an education provider for your family.

Bacchus Marsh Grammar Principal Andrew Neal said the decision to open a campus within Woodlea was not a difficult decision due to shared values of community and design.

The array of landscaping and state-of-the-art facilities are expected to set a new standard for schools in the west, with an overarching vision to provide the best possible academic and rounded education to the young people of the west.
