Civil Construction begins on much anticipated Woodlea Town Centre

Earthworks have commenced this month on the highly anticipated Woodlea Town Centre, Town Park and nearby amenities. Designed as an architectural landmark, the brand new town centre will aim to meet the daily needs of the growing Woodlea community.

Upon completion, residents will have access to a large supermarket which is expected to be supported by other retail offerings such as a pharmacy, medical centre, hair and beauty, bakery, tavern, restaurants and trendy cafés and eateries.

The town centre will also include commercial office space and training/community space as a means of catering to Woodlea’s thriving business community, with several community groups already in operation.

Along with over 300 car parks, there will be bicycle storage for residents using the extensive network of shared paths around Woodlea. A bus stop will also be included adjacent to the centre, servicing the upgraded Rockbank Railway Station, as well as other major community and employment centres surrounding Woodlea.

The Woodlea Town Centre will envelope 3.4 hectares of land and is located in the heart of Woodlea’s upcoming luxury townhouse precinct, which is set to deliver over 500 townhouses, offering something for everyone. The entire precinct will be walking distance to the recently opened Bacchus Marsh Grammar, Woodlea Early Learning Centre, sports ovals and the future public primary school.

Located at the front of the Woodlea Town Centre is the picturesque Woodle Town Park, designed as a community meeting point and event space, featuring a playground and water play, as well as a performance stage to host events and activities held throughout the year.

The park will also provide a final destination for events that involve the Walk of Honour, such as Anzac Day and Remembrance Day, with a reflection point providing a focus for the community on these important days.

We look forward to providing you with further updates as construction progresses, with the Woodlea Town Centre scheduled to open its doors in late 2020.
